| Resumen: | The purpose of this research document is to show why it is important to be broad minded when people spend time with people from other cultures in a university classroom, this topic is closely linked to cultural differences and their attributes; supported by several authors who clarify key concepts such as culture, interculturality, the importance of relationship and communication between people from different cultures. The value of intercultural communicative competences in the classroom is emphasized in this paper. Intercultural education in a university classroom promotes the understanding of different people and cultures; this includes teachings that accepts and respects the normality of diversity in all areas of life. Intercultural education works for transforming not only the individual but also the academy as a mechanism for the transformation of society |
